Great news. The Australian test seems to rely on the 2019 Euro NCAP test. BTW Euro NCAP got harder to get 5 stars in 2020 so not sure the MG ZS EV would necessarily get 5* now. Still though the MG ZS EV feels safe. ?
Hi Chris, from memory it would have been 455v or higher yes because I never had the buggy BMS. But tbh I never paid much attention to that stat as the miles were decent. However, I think we have to remember that comfort 2 update really screwed up the GOM eg when I fully charged the car it was...
Got new BMS yesterday. Never had the buggy ones. When I got home and charged it up to 100% it was 159 miles and 439 v. I then allowed it to equalise once for 6 hours or so and got the same range but 450 v.
I think that as long as the range is about right and drops more or less in line with mileage driven there isn't much point in thinking about the voltage. I don't intend to worry about that if so.
As per other post... Had the revised BMS done today as part of service (never had the previous dodgy BMS updates). Charged to 100% and was getting 439v ish. But range was 159 miles (normal mode) which for winter (and max 163 miles) seems about right. It reminds me of pre comfort 2 ranges which...

I am aware that the android auto/carplay USB port will continue charging items when the car is turned off.
But does anyone know if the android auto/carplay USB port automatically powers off eventually when the car is off? Say if someone left their mobile (or something power thirsty) linked by...
Hi, yes it's a bit of a faff but just get a thin but hard plastic (guitar pick etc) and prise the plastic cover open (no need to whole mounting) by working it into one of the sides, slowing going around and clipping off the plastic hooks inside. You'll find better reference to this in the...
The two LEDs at the front (reading light ones) and the one in the boot.
For the front Osram W5W (cool white) and the boot Osram C5W (360 31mm) (cool white). Be careful if changing the boot if you don't do the proper thing and disconnect the battery... It will be very hot.
I've managed a 180cm IKEA TV cabinet in the ZS EV (with the 2/3 back seat down) but it was a heck of a tight fit length ways... No space really to spare...
If you have the exclusive, could you put on top of car and tie to roof rails?
After comfort update 2, I find MG Pilot excellent on the motorway. It is also great on stop and start traffic (although I do find myself hovering over the brakes sometimes just in case... But it hasn't let me down yet so maybe I'm being too cautious!). I don't use it in city as I don't think...
Same here Mark. And fifth year is also £100.20. I don't know it it is a good price (didn't own a car before the ZS EV) but I suppose the "free" AA cover and bear helps. Also I guess some of the cost will be used to cover the software updates if any.
I use demister pads (£1 from amazon) to wipe the windows inside for a quick solution now. And if condensation whilst driving, blast with the heat and aircon option. But yes, the EV does seem to get condensation quite easily but I suppose most modern cars do now esp in UK winter...
It can be hit or miss when connecting for AA. It was especially bad before the Comfort Pack 2 update. I found I had to try 3 different cables before I got one which worked the best. I even tried a Sony one which surprisingly was the worst.
I would try different cables if the cache idea from...
