So, I have one of the earliest MG4 (Oct 2022). I have the same components as in your picture and in the service manual page 243. I also get hot air if I have A/C on or off.
I don't believe I have a heat pump. What does it all mean?
Looks like MG has reduced their prices, not on the internet page but if you look in autotrader for brand new car. What a bargain.
Go to a dealer exchange your old SR for a new one pay extra £X. Based on your car registration date how much is X for you?
I believe the problem is usually the cable. I know your cable work at home etc etc but buy couple of good/very-good cables from google etc and then see if it still disconnects.
Geez where are the gurus?
So I will answer my own question. It is more efficient to heat your battery before going if you are doing anything more than 10 miles.
You can do this from your Ismart. (I am sure I have seen it on the car's main screen too but now I cannot find it).
Interesting enough, I was seeing 2.0 m/kwh for around 5 miles this morning. Then later, we had to charge the car because of some emergency. We fast charged the car from 30 to 80 using a 150kw charger. We then went on trip of 60 miles on motorway. The car at the end show 4.2m/kwh on a journey...
The cold doesn't just affect the m/kwh because you use the heater. The actual battery will perform worse. I have LFP battery and I can see the m/kwh change with each temperature drop below 8 degrees. I do the same run nearly everyday and if I don't use the heater I know what to expect. 10 months...
Long story short, the car is now booked for a fix, on warranty.
Moral of the story: Find a good dealer and support them. Any dealer that gives you excuses or not returning your calls is like a bad relationship. Get out of it quickly.
I bought my MG4 in 2022. The driver's door button has stopped working. Anyone knows whether this is under warranty or not.
I have tried for 4 days to get hold of the service department in two MG franchises to ask this question but no one picks up the phone !!!!!
Some EVs like MG4 sometimes read the speed limit on side turnings as the speed on the main road. I drive in 50mph road and it has side roads which are sign posted as 30mph. As I pass these roads on the main 50mph road, my MG4 shows the speed limit of the main road as 30mph. This is a well known...
Yes and No.
ICE car makers are actually assemblers and marketers. They try to get all components from other manufactureres. This is one reason why they cannot compete with Tesla and the Chinese. EVs are all monitored from a central hub and therefore have a lot more details.
I guess it is like...

This is the real issue with electric cars. GM has been known to sell driving data to insurance companies...
A$60k= £30k
My opinion FWIW is actually up to closer to £40k there isn't an outstanding alternative value for money. Above that price you need to get a Tesla (I might not get a Tesla because Elon is such a douche and the badge is now one of shame)
