Had the R59 update a while ago, but only now used ACC with it. However, one push still changes 5mph and I need to hold and push for 1mph changes. I thought the polarity, as it were, was meant to be reversed with R59. A further visit to the dealers?
Having done a 5% to 100% charge in mid-December and a ‘normal’ charge to 100% on New Year’s Day, I find myself in an unusual situation. Basically, until Easter I have no long journeys planned; I expect to do no trips of more than 5 miles and to average well under 100 miles a month. I am aware of...
Does anyone know if there an updated manual in the pipeline? As a small example, the online one refers to 17” wheels only, while 18” ones have been around for quite some time.
I appreciate others have done it, but I got there for the first time today in my ER. Set off from Chester at 100%, with a GOM of 327 miles. 76 miles to Ludlow in the morning and 327 more to Norwich later in the day. Arrived with 8% ‘in the tank’. My wife and I shared the driving and the boot and...
Simply wondering if any ER owners have replaced their original Bridgestone tyres yet, not because they wanted something better but because the tyres had reached the end of their life? After how many miles?
I posted recently querying whether Type 2 cables were redundant. Well, I thought I would christen mine yesterday, at a National Trust site. The initial reading was at 3.4kW, rising soon after to 3.6kW. When I returned to the car 2+ hours later the charge rate was 1.4kW. I had a look at cars...
My dealer kindly supplied both Type 2 and granny cables with my car. I have used the granny cable overnight, at friends and relatives, on a number of occasions, but never the Type 2 cable. On long journeys I faithfully use up boot space by taking it, just in case, but it has done nothing except...
One for the mods to think about, if others are with me.
Might we have the option of showing our car colour, along with the vehicle, in our profile as it appears in posts?
I have an ER, but assume my query relates to LRs as well.
A charge failure last night led me to think how awkward that would be if I wanted a 100% battery for a long trip the following day. Would I be damaging the battery if I charged to 100% the night before = 24-30 hours before setting off on...
Headlights on (not on auto), with the lights slider switch fully left. More than once now I have pushed the arm to choose main beam and, in the process, accidentally moved the switch to the right - so that I find myself on sidelights. Did it last night on a bendy B road and it scared me more...
Trying to put an interior light on while driving, I hit the SOS emergency button by mistake (should it really be so near the light controls?). Immediate panic and freeze on my part, followed by total embarrassment when I had to admit my mistake and allow the emergency operator to end my call.
A...
I guess most of us are used to things happening / not happening intermittently. The welcome message seems to be one of these. Is there a way, on start up, to ensure the lady speaks Her welcome?
Background: I have my new MG4 and Zappi. I have solar panels, with a GivEnergy 5.2kWh battery. I have signed up to Octopus GO. I am not technical and simply want to charge my car during the Octopus Go 0030 to 0430 cheap period.
Charging via the MG4: Did this as a first attempt = perfect...
Drove my new ER from Norwich to Chester and back, starting with a full battery.215 miles each way,Used A roads, with only 40 miles or so of dual carriageway. Car had only 50 miles on the clock when I set out, so tried to drive conservatively at no more than 60mph. Set off at dusk each time, so...
In my previous car, I had my offline music on a memory card, structured via directories and sub-directories. A couple of examples: Pop - Springsteen - then various CDs; Chamber - Beethoven - String Quartets - then individual quartets. I haven't counted how many individual music folders I have...
A real newbie question, having got my ER yesterday and I don’t want to ruin it! How do you take the boot shelf off? It seems stiff. Do you pull the whole grommet thing out from the bodywork, or does the rubber divide so that part of the fixing stays in the body?
