balancing

In computing, load balancing is the process of distributing a set of tasks over a set of resources (computing units), with the aim of making their overall processing more efficient. Load balancing can optimize the response time and avoid unevenly overloading some compute nodes while other compute nodes are left idle.
Load balancing is the subject of research in the field of parallel computers. Two main approaches exist: static algorithms, which do not take into account the state of the different machines, and dynamic algorithms, which are usually more general and more efficient but require exchanges of information between the different computing units, at the risk of a loss of efficiency.

ZS EV Mk2 51kWh LFP Battery - Not Balancing Massive Cell Deviation

I've got the Mk2 ZS EV with 51kWh LFP battery. Despite being LFP I usually stop charging around 90%. In part because it is better for the battery, and mostly because I really hate it that KERS does not work properly with a fully battery. Only once every month or two I charge to 100%. I...

How do you know balancing has finished on a facelift version?

On the PFL you did this. Wait until it says on dashboard. "Finished Uncharged" White letters. If the message is Finished and it is in Green colour then it is balancing. Wait for the white message "Finished - Uncharged" and the whole process has been completed. But how do you know it is...

SOC vs HV/LV delta and balancing….

The following observation I should have done when car was newer. Or better, new, with periodic data points as it aged. Alas, I was occupied with other things. Car was charged to 100% and after a ~4hr rest: HV= 349.xx SOC =100% info 103.xx% car scanner HV/LV delta = 170mV. Car scanner (...

    100% charging power?

hi, so I was charging on a 11kW public station, and I eventually fell asleep. I usually charge at around 9.6kW displayed into the iSmart app. I woke up with the car at 100% but this was happening: And a few minutes later: I never charged to 100% overnight and leaving it plugged. is it a...

    Surprisingly short battery balancing period

I've just done the first full charge (8% to 100%) for our new car. Surprisingly the battery's balancing took only 8 minutes. Perhaps this is an indication of how beneficial a long slow charge is? (This was with a granny charger.) The other unexpected thing was that on the first drive the...

100% Balancing Charge - Frequency and Method

I know there has been a number of threads related to this subject, but is there a definitive way of achieving this; specifically: How often should it be done? Trophy Battery Balancing at 41%

Whilst producing photos for another thread I set my Trophy charging using the granny charger. I was distracted and left it charging beyond the short boost I wanted. It reached 41% before I remember it so I opened the app and set the charge limit to 40%. I wanted to see if the car would stop...

MG ZS EV battery Balancing - battery knackered?

At the end of every full charge my ZS takes at least a 4 hour balancing charge at 0.3kW. Sometimes 6 hours. This is in addition to the very poor fast charging and very low battery capacity compared to specification. Max charge rate ever has been 36kW. Spec 76kW. Max charge from zero to full...
