battery drain
Nickel oxyhydroxide battery (abbr. NiOx, IEC code: Z) is a type of primary cell. It is not rechargeable and must be disposed after a single use. NiOx batteries can be used in high-drain applications such as digital cameras.
NiOx batteries used in low-drain applications, have a lifespan similar to an alkaline battery. NiOx batteries produce a higher voltage (1.7V) than alkaline batteries (1.5V) which can cause problems in certain products, such as equipment with incandescent light bulbs (such as flashlights/torches), or devices without a voltage regulator.
I have a problem after starting the car, the key error is written on the screen and when I stop, the alarm goes off.If I change the battery in the key, it doesn't do it for 14 days. I have a problem that the battery in the handle has only 2.8V after 14 days. Why does the battery in the key drain...
Well it didn't, not even 1%.
We were moving house and living in out of the motorhome for a month so the MG was left at a friend's house.
Parked up with 51% on 11th June, picked up today and still had 51%.
Should I write to the Daily Mail to tell them? :ROFLMAO:
Hi
I have installed a dash cam with front and rear cameras, my question to you other MG users, do you disconnect yours at night or is it better to leave it running, I am worried it will drain the battery, it says on the box that it is 5volt and 1.5amp
In the bad old days of ICEs and their ignition systems, I was advised not to leave the ignition switched on with the engine off, for fear of damaging the coil. On older cars there wasn't even an Aux position on the ignition switch, so if you wanted to listen to the radio while waiting for your...
Hello everyone, I'm brand new to EV and I have had my Trophy LR for 3 weeks.
I know it's winter and I have heat on etc but my battery is going down 10 to 12% for about a 12 mile trip to do school run and to work. Is this normal?
Thanks in anticipation
Is anyone using a dash cam that has 24hr parking monitor Successfully? I’ve bought a new Jansite 4k Mirror dashcam & hardware fitting kit, but after reading all the threads on dashcam fitting & ordered ATS fuse taps, I then started reading the fitting kit has a battery cut off voltage to not...
Good evening all,
We took delivery of our brand new Piccadilly Blue MG5 in March earlier this year (FL model).
We can honestly say that it surpassed a lot of our expectations both in range and charging speed.
However, in May the car developed an issue where the 12V battery drained more than...
... and all the electric cars were running out of battery.
Well, that's the story I was told in the Post Office this afternoon. Of course it was second-hand and I don't even know where this immense traffic jam is supposed to have happened.
I mused that EVs don't use much energy at very low...
So... Completed another long journey cross country yesterday. Arrived with 10% battery and 20 or 21 estimated GOM miles (in Normal). Ambient temp I would guess at 10-12 degrees. Had nailed it, arriving with 10%, or so I thought! Surely a reasonable buffer to aim for?
Intended to get up this...
Since I started using Android Auto (via USB connection) I've noticed there is a heavy battery drain and the phone gets quite warm. After a bit of searching this looks like a common problem. I've recently installed an AA Wireless adapter and found the drain is even worse. The first screenshot...
