charge limit
The elementary charge, usually denoted by e, is the electric charge carried by a single proton or, equivalently, the magnitude of the negative electric charge carried by a single electron, which has charge −1 e. This elementary charge is a fundamental physical constant.
In the SI system of units, the value of the elementary charge is exactly defined as
e
{\displaystyle e}
= 1.602176634×10−19 coulombs, or 160.2176634 zeptocoulombs (zC). Since the 2019 redefinition of SI base units, the seven SI base units are defined by seven fundamental physical constants, of which the elementary charge is one.
In the centimetre–gram–second system of units (CGS), the corresponding quantity is 4.8032047...×10−10 statcoulombs.Robert A. Millikan and Harvey Fletcher's oil drop experiment first directly measured the magnitude of the elementary charge in 1909, differing from the modern accepted value by just 0.6%. Under assumptions of the then-disputed atomic theory, the elementary charge had also been indirectly inferred to ~3% accuracy from blackbody spectra by Max Planck in 1901 and (through the Faraday constant) at order-of-magnitude accuracy by Johann Loschmidt's measurement of the Avogadro number in 1865.
Has anyone had this issue? The car is a 2023 Trophy on R59 software.
I set the charging limit to 80%, and recheck it after returning to the home screen. All this is done in the car, not via the app, because I don't have mobile signal where I live.
The next morning, the limit is bumped up to...
Schoolboy question (I've done a search but can't find the answer), my car stopped charging at 80% tonight. Do I need to do something to tell it to charge more?
Has anyone else run into this problem?:
If I have my charge limit set to 100% and the current charge is between 80 and 100%, the car charges just fine (using Zappi and solar power (eco+)).
However, if I log off from iSmart, when I log back on to it, it has reset the charge limit to 80% and has...
Hi,
Having gone from no AC charging, I have just had my car fixed and updated. Now it seems we can't stop it charging - the car is ignoring the charge limit that is set.
For example last night it went from 63% to 100% despite an 80% limit set and visible both in the app and on the car.
I...
Hi all, Could someone please help me, in the battery section there is a charging current limit button = 6a, 8a, 16a, ac current. Which one do I set it to? Does it matter if you are charging with a slow or rapid charger? And does it stay as set or go to default when switched off? Thank
Hello everyone. I recently bought a ZS EV of 320 km range. User manual says it's using LFP battery chemistry. I would like to know the charge limit for it. I mean should I charge it to 100% or 80%?
MG4 Trophy. I've set the charge limit in the car to 80%. My off-peak charging schedule is set within my charger and not in the car. Last night the car started charging at midinight in accordance with my schedule. However, the charge continued up to 98% despite me having set a charge limit of...
Had my Trophy since October and loving it.
Had the usual issues, oil leak etc, but not enough to put me off.
I normally have the charge limit set in the app to 80% and this works fine. I occasionally take it up to 100% if contemplating a longer journey or to balance to batteries once a month...
I have set an 80% charge limit on my MG LR via the App. However, I'm looking at my charger at the moment and although the car has reached 80% it's still charging. Car now at 81%. I clicked finished charging on the app to stop charging. Surely this should be automatic?
PS What does the padlock...
