Chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) is a type of immunoprecipitation experimental technique used to investigate the interaction between proteins and DNA in the cell. It aims to determine whether specific proteins are associated with specific genomic regions, such as transcription factors on promoters or other DNA binding sites, and possibly define cistromes. ChIP also aims to determine the specific location in the genome that various histone modifications are associated with, indicating the target of the histone modifiers. ChIP is crucial for the advancements in the field of epigenomics and learning more about epigenetic phenomena.Briefly, the conventional method is as follows:
DNA and associated proteins on chromatin in living cells or tissues are crosslinked (this step is omitted in Native ChIP).
The DNA-protein complexes (chromatin-protein) are then sheared into ~500 bp DNA fragments by sonication or nuclease digestion.
Cross-linked DNA fragments associated with the protein(s) of interest are selectively immunoprecipitated from the cell debris using an appropriate protein-specific antibody.
The associated DNA fragments are purified and their sequence is determined. Enrichment of specific DNA sequences represents regions on the genome that the protein of interest is associated with in vivo.
I have a couple of small paint chips in my MG3 Hybrid bonnet already. Is there any sort of protection device available in the UK or Euro market? Nothing in Australia yet apparently. And is it just me, or is the MG paint put on very thin? My red metallic seems very fragile.
With time to spare and a little curiosity I decided go have a chat with my local MG dealer who told me that they had great news that my 71 plate Excite is much in demand due to the ongoing chip shortage and they could offer me something newer and lower mileage for the same monthly payment.

Hi I had a small chip on My windscreen mirror yesterday, what will be the best way to get it fixed please?
I wonder if going down the insurance route may increase the premium? Chip repair at autoglass costs about £225?? or a chip repair at Halfords costs £40??
Any experience ot thoughts on...
Herself said to me the other day "I see we must have picked up a stone chip on the bonnet." Well, that's to be expected, but today I asked her to show me where, and I find that the bonnet has numerous little +- 1mm white pockmarks. They're scattered everywhere, to the extent that we would have...
