Hi everyone,
I've just recently taken delivery of a 2022 MG5 Long Range (pre face lift) and have been having problems with getting my Ohme Pro charger to work with it.
I plugged it in to charge last night and woke up this morning to find no charge had been added to the car. I have been using...
Does anyone use Octopus with Ohme?
I have had the Ohme for the 3.5 years we have owned thew MG ZS. Whch we still think is a brilliant car.
We are having billing issues with Octopus after we changed from Bulb. They agree they have a back billing issue and we have had three refunds for...
I had an Ohme Home Pro installed yesterday by Octopus.
Whilst the charge point works and is connected via the Sim card I can't add the device to the Octopus app.
I set the charger account up using Google.
When i click on the sign in requested by octopus I get a blank screen

Hi all,
Looking at changing our charger for an Ohme.
Want to know what happened after 3 years with the data connection. Reading up, it is free then payable from 3 years +. How much is it and is there an option to connect to WiFi?
Also, how do you rate it?
Thanks
Ohme sent out an email on the 4th November saying they were rolling out improvements to their chargers over the next two weeks.
My Pro is still on firmware version 2.65, I'd have expected it to increment on the change.
Anybody else seen their charger firmware version change?
I haven't tried it yet, but in the latest release you can now set/control the Ohme charger directly in the Octopus app.
Ah. Not quite! It shows you the charger settings in the Octopus app, but if you try and change either of them it launches the Ohme app!
Hi,
I have just placed an initial order for the Ohme Home Pro from Octopus and am now having a nagging doubt... My consumer unit and meter are in a cupboard in my hall and I reckon they will need to take the cable out the cupboard then through either the utility room or boiler cupboard to get...
Anyone else experienced this.
FYI: With Octopus IG (not sure it makes any difference).
Car at 21% last night. Plugged it in and told it to charge 60%.
Got in the car this morning and it's charged to 90%.
It did the same the other night... even though I am telling the charger to only add 60%...
have ohme updated their app so that no one can set price cap on intelligent octopus tariff ?
For a year I have been using the spend cap feature absolutely with no problems but it now looks as if I can’t do that any more. Anyone else have that issue?
The reason I do this is because it’s more...

Hello
I have an Ohme home charger and it has a function to pre heat the car but when I try to use it, it tells me to set it up in the car first.
Does the ZS have this function?
Regards
Rob

Are there any ohme charger users here signed up for the crowdflex trial between 16th Sept-27th April 2025? I've been invited to take part in the second phase of this trial & just wondered are any other ohme charger users doing the trial here. CrowdFlex - Ohme EV
Below is the response from Ohme regarding my failure to charge my LR ZS EV at 7 kW, only accepting 4 kW charging instead.
"I've had a look at your charge history and when checking the OCPP statuses (communication between the car and the charger), I noticed the car appears to have gone into a...
Thought I might share with you our setup which now is paying us up to £30 per month:
The key to all of this is the differential between Octopus Intelligent Go and SEG payments from Octopus, (or any other provider). 7p inbound against 15p export with Octopus. You need to ensure that you export...
Whilst I'm still waiting on Arnold Clark to pull their finger out and even look at my car, I figured I'd address an issue that started to raise its head a few months ago, but finally came to a head just recently.
I had an Ohme Pro charger fitted a few years ago, and it's been absolutely fine...
I've got an Ohme charger, but it will not charge my MG HS PHEV. The charge history, on checking the OCPP statuses (communication between the car and the charger), I noticed the car appears to have gone into a faulted state called 'SuspendedEV'. This means that even though Ohme was scheduling and...
I have no smartphone but an app to control my Ohme charger is required. Only have a Windows 11 laptop so am stuck. Has anyone an answer for this problem other than to buy a smartphone due to the high cost of smartphones simply to control charging|? There is no smartphone reception in my area.
I don't have solar, but I see in the latest OHME beta app that there is now a setting to switch it on. Not sure if this has been posted before, but I hadn't seen it.
From the help it appears that it will switch to solar charging if the available solar exceeds half the minimum 1.44 kW required...
Has anyone experienced an error on their OHME charger where the side strips turn red and the screen says error? It gives no indication what the "error" is.
This has been happening for several evenings. There is no car plugged in and nothing charging. It just happens. I've tried to find out what...
I've been looking through a myriad of threads regarding the Ohme home pro and Octopus intelligent tarriff and the conflicting information is confusing. I'm hoping someone who is on it with a pre FL MG5 can clear things up for me before I purchase an Ohme Pro.
So I have a pre FL MG5 long range...
