rear view mirror
A rear-view mirror (or rearview mirror) is a flat mirror in automobiles and other vehicles, designed to allow the driver to see rearward through the vehicle's rear window (rear windshield).
In cars, the rear-view mirror is usually affixed to the top of the windshield on a double-swivel mount allowing it to be adjusted to suit the height and viewing angle of any driver and to swing harmlessly out of the way if impacted by a vehicle occupant in a collision.
The rear-view mirror is augmented by one or more side-view mirrors, which serve as the only rear-vision mirrors on trucks, motorcycles and bicycles.
I was wrestling a large box into the front passenger seat and knocked off the rear view mirror. Thought it would just hop back into the ball but with too much force I broke the arm / mount. Not much to it behind the scenes, heard glass crunch. Not that sturdy IMO. Oh well.
Anyone had this...
Does anyone know what this circled area on the back of the rear vision mirror of my Aussie MG4 Long Range 77 MY24 is?
My guess is some kind of sensor
I'm not sure if I should install my dashcam stuck onto the windshield in a place that could block this possible sensor, or it doesn't matter

When starting the car (73 plate ZS SE Long Range) the dash cam boots but does not auto start the recording.
If I unplug and re plug in cam all starts auto recording...
Got my XPOWER today (24 plate in Red), love it - I have searched this forum so not being lazy, was hoping to plug in my dashcam to usb port by rear view mirror: If there is a usb port around the mirror I can't find it, any help please? I've downloaded the manual it makes no reference to it.
Hi all. I want to replace the plastic rear view mirror cover with one that has a built in dash cam and plugs in to the rain sensor. I was able to release the cover with plastic upholstery tools but I can't see how to remove the mirror in order to completely remove and replace it. Any experience?
Everyday I'm finding new bugs in the car..
Today found out the 360 camera has a bug on either lift or right of the camera under the rear view mirror.
Reseting center screen resets the bug...
I may well have missed a thread on this, and even more likely just being dense. The rear view mirror on my MG4 Trophy has a button marked "Auto". Pressing it doesnt seem to do anything other than switch an illumination under the Auto label. I've tried to check in the PDG user manual but can't...
