A smart meter is an electronic device that records information—such as consumption of electric energy, voltage levels, current, and power factor—and communicates the information to the consumer and electricity suppliers. Such an advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) differs from automatic meter reading (AMR) in that it enables two-way communication between the meter and the supplier.

    Smart meter (monitor) not working after Ohme Pro installation

    Had Ohme Pro installed yesterday morning and just after the technician left noticed the smart meter monitor (IHD) had stopped working ... "waiting to connect" on screen indefinitely. What could he have done in the meter box to cause this? It's all beyond my understanding.

    Octopus Smart Meter Reading Visits?

    Just had a chap claiming to be from Octopus saying he needed to read the meters - but we have smart meters that are accessible remotely and mean we don't need meter readings! He claimed it was a legal requirement. I sent him on his way. Anyone else had this?
