You can always do what I did - moaned at the neighbour to cut his monterey cypress doen as it seriously blocks sunlight from my solar panels for 5 months of the year. Horrible non-native tree, planted far to close to the property 35ish years ago ( house built 50 years ago) .
Bit of a conundrum. Apparently using the solar panels has saved the equivalent of lots of trees worth of carbon capture. Not sure about the flip side of oxygen production ?.
He trimmed it significantly and we're producing more kw obvs., which is nice.
He also took a mature sycamore down to 10' which was really sad. Provides useful shade in the really hot summer periods and gorgeous silhouette during the winter months.... and bird benches ?
