Battery management techniques
We plan to cover the following discussion points:- Different battery chemistries and what they like / don't like, general advice on SOC and what hurts a battery and what they like/don't like.
- Expectations on battery life from high mileage reports, warranty cover from MG.
- Generic advice from MG on 10-100% charging every 3-6 months for calibration purposes.
- Life with LFP: how to charge, when to charge, what keeps the battery healthy, range in winter, preheating (which seems to help a bit)
- Life with NMC: 80/100 charging, how often, why, etc...
- Balancing the battery: what is this, why does it matter?
