Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else.
I went to the council recycling centre on Friday, whilst waiting in the queue to reach the skips I left the car in drive using the auto hold probably for around 5 minutes. When the vehicle in front finally moved off I touched the accelerator expecting to move forward slowly, instead the car juddered and barely moved. The attendant told me the rear wheels were not turning. Turned off ignition and restarted and all was well.

I can't believe anyone would get out of their car and leave it in drive, it should be put in Park.

Auto hold will only stay on for a few minutes then the car will put on the parking brake and release auto hold.

Mine just gave me a new problem that was fixed by turning off and on the power. I was parking with R on gearbox. When I turned the knob and engaged D the car was still reversing... and I was just 20 cm from the car in back.. Thank god I am afraid of the very quick responses of the car while parking and I was very careful and gentle with the pedal. I hope this is the first and the last time it gives me this problem. Just imaging I was in an uphill... pfff I love this car and the handling in low to moderate speeds but in any other case it frightens me..
