Average revs when travelling around town

Hi everyone - Picked up my new ZS Hybrid+ just over a week ago. On the whole very happy with it but recently around town the revs are stay between 2.2 and 2.5 when travelling at around 35 miles per hour on flat ground, even with a slight incline. Been told by the dealer that it is revving at that level as it is charging the battery, but still it seems a bit high to me, given I set the car up in Eco and regeneration 3 - not sure where the economy around town is going to come from with this level of revs.

Well if around town as your subject header then 35mph is too fast
Try 30mph or under, Dong this I do not get your high revving but 1.1, 1.4 or sometimes 1.8 krpm.
I'm on Normal and regen. 2

Ha! Thanks David - Obviously doing 35 in a 40 MPH zone.

@MondyZurich62 I’ve noticed that driving from cold at the start of a journey it does like to charge the battery at the 35-40 mph speed for a while. Similar revs to you. It calms down when the engine has warmed up a bit. Round town I get over 60 mpg with plenty of EV mode and low revs in HEV
