Back seats feet space?

I visited my local dealer yesterday for a butchers of the 5 and noticed in the back there is not much room for those with a larger shoe size, as there was no gap between the floor and the bottom of the front seats, is this normal or could the front seats been adjusted to the lowest position?

it is a small gap with the front seat at the highest setting i have not found it to be a problem still plenty of room
