We have recently purchased a 21 plate MG ZS EV, and having fully charged it several times now, it only registrars around 140 miles in range, we found this rather disappointing, as Manufactures spec. says we can expect a range of 225 miles. I have been told it was probably due to the cold weather. just wondered what other owners experience was, and do we need to consult with MG main dealer.

The range shown will be based on driving history. If you have just got it you could reset all the trip counters. This will put it back default and then as you drive it the number will start to reflect your driving style.
It will be much lower in the cold for sure.

Also range displayed will be subject to what you have switched on in the car. The heating unit needs to be switched off, and then you can check the voltage. On my ZS EV mk1, it reads 449 volts. This shows you have a full charge. As said, cold temperatures reduce range, and the GOM setting will calculate a range on your past history of driving.

ICE's range will vary too, but they don't calculate it like an EV, or can't...
