Boot access available the the car is locked

I can open my MG XPower boot when the car is locked - is there a way of securly locking it ?

I can open it WITHOUT the key when the car is locked exactly as I do when the car is unlocked

Back in the house, the car is down the drive more than two metres away and through two walls

It’s designed that way & re locks once closed with 2 flashes of the indicators. IF you put your key in a faraday pouch you can not unlock the boot (or the car). So key on you, yes boot opens, anybody without the smart key in range can not open the boot. Hope that helps ?

I just tried mine aftre leaving the key 10m away and the boot would'nt open.

The boot will open if I'm standing next to it with a key but will lock again as soon as I shut it, with two flashes (as above).

That seems quite a long way away for it still to open though ... I'd do a bit more distance testing to check it does eventually stop opening?
