First long distance (500+km) journey tomorrow. For the first 3 months of ownership the car has only been charged at home with a granny cable. Finding charging stations has not been an issue as I've never needed one.

So, sitting in the car, the display shows me a map with my predicted range overlaid. I can plot a route to my destination but the system appears to only show me charging stations near where the vehicle is now. Is this right ? Can it not display charging stations 350km along my route so that I can plan stops (and fall-backs) in advance ?

Answers, please, avoiding the words 'google' and 'app'; I want to know if the in-built system is really so deficient .....

Cheers 'n' Beers

Sorry , the SatNat built into the ZS is very much last century, and I guess could be better if MG charged more for the car, but fine it has have found is next to useless over the last 18 months as road layouts change, but the answer is ABRP.

Would never us the 'G' would as camp Apple. (y) :geek:

In addition to the above, the inbuilt nav is not up-to-date (I believe Q4 2023 so 18 months old) so does not show a representative, current situation. Further, other on-line systems show how many charging stations are serviceable and available. Finally, using internet based info allows me to do the planning you mention in my armchair rather than in the car. I do use the inbuilt satnav often (in Portugal) but not for this.

Forget the built in navigation system for charging points, it's too far out of date. In my local area in the last six months there are 100's of new charging points. Most of the unmentionable apps show these new charging points, so I never have a problem charging.
