Loving the xpower! My mobile phone connects via Bluetooth but other than the first time I set it up I keep being unable to synchronise contacts between the phone and the car (please see attached screenshot of the message). My phone is an iPhone 13 and I wonder if anyone one has any suggestions as to what I need to do - I can’t see anything obvious on the phone. The first time I connected the phone I selected the option to allow the phone to share contacts with the car - this was a pop up message that appeared on the phone whilst I was setting up the Bluetooth connection. Thanks in advance!

I'd like to help......

But I can't.

Android Auto for me which works perfectly.

Welcome.?

Tried a search?

I'd suggest AA (but Apple Carplay in your case) too- that way you bypass the car's "quirks".

You have to plug in but not a huge hassle and that charges phone rather than using phone battery when connected solely via Bluetooth.

ID.3 we used to have with wireless AA, I often found phone battery dying especially on longer journeys. Cable helps with XPOWER too in that it's like a mini seat belt for your phone when trying out Launch Control- it'll save the imprint on the back seat!

I'd check your Bluetooth settings and see if it needs re-paired. Or it may well just 'work' if you leave it and try again in 24 hours or so. Let us know how you get on!

I've occasionally had the Bluetooth connection on my (Android) phone "forget" the Contacts setting, so have had to reenable it to get the sync working. Maybe check this on your phone?

My car frequently loses the bluetooth connection and I have to "forget MG" in my Iphone bluetooth list and pair again from Settings / Bluetooth menu in the car.

Even when I get reconnected and sync my contacts etc. it will not call the correct number using voice commands ! (and I'm not the only one on here reporting this !!). Maybe try reducing the number of contacts if you have loads ?‍♂️

Best using Apple CarPlay (wired connection) - much better for me ?

Thank you for all the replies!

I haven't tried connecting the phone as a carplay device - I was rather hoping to get it all working via Bluetooth; if I really can't sort it out then this may have to be my next port of call.

Are you running the latest software - R59 (released in Feb). Check via Settings -> System (last 3 characters)
This fixed it for me, but sadly no OTA updates for sometime.

Just checked and if I am reading it correctly I am on R40 so a bit behind R59! Do you know how many updates there are between my version and yours? Looks like contact with the dealer to see if they will update it.

Check system version, should be R59, contact dealer if not.
