Carlinkit or similar recommendations

Hey

I need some advice.

I have an iOS device and I am looking at connecting it to the ZS EV MK2 wirelessly. I am interested in Android devices like the Carlinkit as this allows you to install apps that you not be able to on CarPlay. e.g. Netflix.

I am trying not to spend anymore money than I must but happy to pay a little more for a device that will work better.

I am interested in hearing which device people have and their pro/cons of it? Would you recommend it?

I've tried a couple of the carplay units so far and been distinctly unimpressed and returned them, unsatisfied.

However, I have made some progress with this unit - does everything I want (wireless AA and Carplay), allows for watching Netflix (goes without saying I hope as to how you should make use of this). It run on Android 10, but this is now upgradable to Android 12 - which (as far as I've seen) is the latest available anywhere.

There is little to no lag and works nicely with the MG hot-spot (although recommended to use a sim card for seemless changing between Carplay and AA).

Don't know if that helps ? I'm just looking for find out how to configure the infotainment system to auto start the onboard hot-spot - no luck so far.

Thanks for that I did read through post were people have mention them. I was trying to get one place where people could recommend and talk of their experiences.
