Am considering a CEE / Comando 32 amp socket and 7kW charger instead of an expensive wallbox.

My breaker box is right by the door of my garage, so am temped to get the socket mounted inside and trail charging cable under the door. Only had the car a couple of weeks but expect to charge mostly at home maybe twice a week if that.

Have seen a couple of other posts metioning these:
I installed my 32A 7kW AliExpress charger through a proper 32A Isolator/Socket to a spare MCB connection in my garage Consumer Unit, I had 2 MCBs fitted to overcome a problem whilst switching on my TIG welder, so thought that might be better than the RCDs vacant, I've not had any problems until I tried using my Milling machine whilst charging the car, turns out the house supply to the garage/workshop only had a 32A MCB in the Consumer Unit, my landlord got his electrician to upgrade it to 50A, no more problems.

So, armed with info from this forum. Think I'm going to go for this.

Similar to a Granny charger, but puts out 7.4kw same as a wallbox. As opposed to 2.3kw of a granny. Will get it professionally fitted so it's all neat and tidy, and obviously safe! Should be less than half price of a wallbox. So back me motor into the drive, get out, plug in, job done. Coz to be honest I really can't be arsed with all this Wi-Fi/App/Smart meter
Bollox. ???

Are these fine in practice and the ebay/Allie expresschargers ok for longevity?

Thinking it might also be good for plugging other new power tool toys in.

If the 32A commando socket is for an EV then it needs to have PEN and DC protection and the socket needs to be the interlocking type. If you can get an Ohme Home Go then you could get a cheap overnight tariff.

I bought my AliExpress charger a good 2 years ago, still working fine, and I get 7 hours of 6.9p/kWh from Sainsbury's Energy.
