Integration with solar, IF you have a grid interactive inverter. I have the other kind (so-called "off-grid", but connected to the grid), and they don't cater for that kind as yet. They seem to do the job - integration with solar, ...
I live at an end of terrace property with the meter box installed under the stairs on the wall shared with adjoining property. The only way to have a charger installed was toI have ordered standard install of podpoint tethered. Cost me 559 all including 32.50 for a key lock(after ozev grant). There are no quotes, it is fixed price. Waiting for installation scheduling. Will post here regarding the install process.
Is that the one from SolarEdge? They seem to have a good integrated range of solar gear. They seem to do the job - integration with solar, different modes for toggling between grid and solar and different day/night tariffs, load balancing within household system, robust build suitable for outdoor use, tethered or untethered, etc etc. They seem to have led the way in the development of smart home chargers and many of the above mentioned features are becoming the norm in other brands entering the market.
Speaking of solar/charger integration, there is a new product on the market here that combines a pv inverter and ev charger which might be good for new solar installs or new builds - good to be ev-ready!
The ZS EV will only AC charge at upto 7kWPersonally I’d get 2 or 3 actual quotes first as it would be such a shame not to be able to charge so much faster at 7kw
Yes, would be nice to have fast charger at home. The thought of routing cable along the walls in a new home put me off 7kW path.Personally I’d get 2 or 3 actual quotes first as it would be such a shame not to be able to charge so much faster at 7kw
