Recently I've been getting "Charging Door Open" message a lot even though it is not. It used to go away when re-opening and closing, but for a few days nothing helped and the message was stuck on the display. Until today, it was gone again.

I have never had freezing problems as I use plenty of de-icer and the door closing mechanism works as expected. Where is the sensor and is there anything I can do about it?

Try spraying silicone spray in the locking mechanism as well as the hinge and seals. De-icer is a solvent and will have removed any lubrication causing the sensor to stick. The silicone will repel any water so the de-icer won't be needed as well as re-lubricating the mechanism.

Spray didn't help, took it to service today, they replaced the door so apparently it was broken. Again I have to applaud our dealer (Hedin) for its quick service. The only question is, why did it break so soon?

I had the same issue last year in July! Although the charge door ended up getting stuck. No amount of locking or unlocking would release it. I took it to the garage and they managed to remove the locking pin. I then had to wait over 6 months for a replacement. I am happy to report that they finally replaced it under guarantee and that everything is fine so far, the charging lights also work. Fingers crossed it was an updated version of the charge port (I noticed there was a revised part)
