Long time lurker and received my car last week which had been great so far. Couple of issues but the one I can’t work out is trying to charge my car using the BP app. Have so far tried a 150 in BP basingstoke and a 50 in the Holiday Inn. Both fail to start in the setting up connection phase. I have a 400 credit in the app so can’t use another app unless it can be linked some how. Has anybody managed to use the app and could they post the routine for me to try again if possible. BP are obviously pointless as an engagement channel. Any help or suggestions appreciated.

I've only tried BP once in Milton Keynes, it took a few attempts to get it to connect. I found that lifting the very thick cable a little so the plug sat squarely in the socket made it work, that or it was third time lucky.

This recent thread had a fair bit of moaning about BP chargers in it. There may not anything helpful but it's worth a read.

Thanks Rolfe. Read it all the way through and it seems the method is shutting down the car, plugging in and pressing start on the charger. Plus the suggestion above from Gary and hoping that will do the trick, appreciated both

Thanks for all the tips finally got it working. The way I eventually did it was to plug it into car (made sure level as above) shut down the car and then go to app type in the id of the charger and then confirm. Was only a 50kw but seemed to charge at about 48 which is not bad. 150kw next outing! Cheers all
