Clarification on MG4 Mk1 /Mk2 please

During my research into the MG4 I'm sure I read somewhere that certain software issues were more of a problem in mk1 versions than in mk2 cars. I wasn't aware there were two "marks" of the MG4, although, obviously I know there are different versions - SE, LR etc. Please would someone more knowledgeable clarify? Thank you.
 
The phase 2 has a rear window wiper.

It might be the case that the Trophy version have more issues with software as they are more complex but that may or may not be true! Certainly I have had virtually no issues with my early SE SR.
 
That's the easiest way to differentiate!

Phase 2 got 18 inch wheels, centre rear headrest, one pedal drive but lost the 3 phase 11kW AC charge ability on the larger battery versions ( might be a good thing as the 11kW CCU seems to fail). Also lost the black roof on the Trophy - there may be some other differences.
 
You also have phase 3 that has a different FICM
Phase1 22/23 original
Phase2 23/24 includes 18" wheels, rear wiper, centre headrest
Phase3 24/25 battery changes, FICM change

Original & phase2 were classed as a 22 build
New are classed as a 24 build

My Trophy ER has wiper, centre rear headrest AND black roof.

For phase 2 luxury/trophy (I bought mine back in July 2023) we [ in France ] didn't lose 11kW charging. I guess, similar to the heat pump, this only affected vehicles sold in the UK?

I suspect so - the MG organisation in the respective country determines the car configuration, hence MG UK didn't specify a heat pump for any of the UK cars. It's probable that China got it wrong on the first LR UK cars and put the 3 phase charger on them, also why the very first batch of SEs came to the UK with rear privacy glass (as mine has).
