I think it is a good idea ?.Does anyone use this ?
I'm interested not for neighbours (we have none) but for charging guests/visitors to our B&B.
That's what I offer at the moment (but £5). But guests are unlikely to need it every night. Typically I would expect them to charge up for their first night and then maybe top up on their last before they head home. You could just say to guests that the wall charger is available at a cost of £3? per night, whatever it takes to cover the cost.
I would prefer to have the guest pay directly rather than me having to monitor and then present them with a bill (we don't always see guests before they depart). No worries about anyone else getting to use it, given its location.I think it is a good idea ?.
But you could offer a reasonable fixed charge from a standard wall box if this was easier ?.
You could still have control of the time scale the charger is used, by having a key lock or even an RFID.
An App on your phone should give you control / cost also ?.
If you have a “Pay As You Go” type unit on your property, if the word gets out, you could find a lot of people using the unit and blocking the charger for your guests !.
Unless you have plenty of room that is.
Food for thought I guess ?.
