Can anyone explain, in simple terms, how to operate adaptive cruise control. I know what it does, but the actual operation as explained in the manual is very long-winded. By the time I get to another section I've forgotten the first.

There is a little piece in this video that explains the basics. You need to enable it first in the Info screen.

So in simple terms, select ACC from the MG Pilot menu, then press the steering wheel icon button (middle button on the left steering wheel controls), this sets the cruise control at the speed you're currently travelling. Then you can press the left steering wheel joystick left or right to increase or decrease the distance between you and the car in front, or press the joystick up or down to to increase or decrease your cruise control speed.

It will also maintain the lane, and steer round shallow bends if the road markings are clear enough, provided you have that option switched on in the menu.
