Daffodil's have arrived quicker than my charger

Back in November 2021 I took the plunge and ordered an MG5 LR with a delivery date of December 2021 - so I got digging to lay 50m of armoured cable for the wall charger. I planted 2 bags of daffodils bulbs to mark the trench for future occupants of the property, thought it would be nice and environmentally friendly. They are almost in bloom now, but still no sign of the charger for several reasons. Has anyone else experience a long delay from applying for a charger and getting one?

Yes, had the car since December and travelled nearly 3k very enjoyable miles so far. The issue that I have is not the EVSE but the DNO in my case - a EV journey that I'm sure isn't unique to me.

I bought mine from voltaev. The price seemed right It was ordered on Dec 8th and dispatched to me on Dec 13th. Using a local approved man it was fitted on the 23rd Dec.
Getting the Smart meter was another story.........

Ordered charger from Octopus mid Dec once dealer were comfortable to put a confirmation of order in writing. Got a date of 10th March for the install.

Installers emailed today to confirm everything is in place my end for a speedy install as they're running out of time for the grant! I've had the EO point sitting here for a number of weeks, just need a sparky.

I had a fault in my company head when an electrician was installing my Zappi charger - had to call the DNO whilst he did as much as he could with the rest of the install and went away.
The DNO guys arrived the same evening @ 22:00 and diagnosed/fixed the arching fault in about 15 minutes! This was UKPower Networks in London too, so full marks to them.
