Digital key management missing on the app

MG4 Luxury
Good morning / afternoon everyone!

Got delivery of a MG4 Luxury (Trophy) last week. Everything has been working great and have not run into any problem yet.

However, I have not got the digital key from the app to work. In fact, the option is completely missing. This is what the main screen looks like:

Any idea what could be wrong? I have contacted MG through the displayed mail on the app, but not reply yet.
Firstly I thought that maybe the app considered the car as the standard one, but the route planning and the heated steering wheel and seats can be activated from it.

@Bricktop X PWR wow - I didn’t know there was a new ‘skin’. It’s completely changed the look of the app. I like it!

It was mentioned on here (somewhere) last week.
It's a shame you can't customise it a little bit.
Colour of your of car for example....?
 
Updated the app and still missing. I don't even have the bluetooth logo on the app, so it's definately strange.

Which country are you in?
You could try deleting the app, restarting your phone then reinstalling the app. You don't have to bind it to the car again just use the same login details as you do now.

I've unbound the car. As soon as I did it, the digital key option was enabled on the app menu. When selecting it, I was prompted to bind the car. Once bound, the option went missing again.

I guess it's not a bug and it's working as intended, but I don't know why. Let's see if the support team replies to my feedback.
 
Have you looked to see if the option requires you to agree to some policies first and enable Bluetooth access before it becomes available?

Finally got an answer from assistance

"Dear customer,

Due to regulatory reasons, the Bluetooth key for this year's models is temporarily disabled. Please stay tuned for our subsequent updates.

Might be a type approval thing? Or maybe they need to update to a more secure Bluetooth spec? ??‍♂️

It may appear like a very original design decision! I'm hoping the support staff can shed some light on why the choice acts in that manner. It will be intriguing to know how they respond! Null brawl
