Drivers window goes back down when trying to shut it.

As the title suggests I've started to notice this is happening more and more often.

I'll press to close the driver's window. It will get around 3/4 closed and suddenly start going down again.

I've a funny feeling it's related to the way rain water drops in and lands right on the switches if you open the window in the rain. Which considering the hot and rainy summer we had was fairly often.

It could be dropping into safety mode because it thinks it's encountered an obstruction. Does it feel or sound tight?

Not that I've noticed. It's not always the same point either. My first thought was that it might have tipped something on the way up but when it's a bit random and you have to fight with it to get it closed it's a bit weird.
