Dual 12 volt system

Hello I have just got an mg4 trophy 77 kWh. I want to install a dual 12 volt system. Has anyone done that, and could you explain how to do it.

Wondering... Why?

I have a 77 too. What is the purpose of a dual 12v system?
Why would I want one and what does it do?

It's usually a segregated circuit that you can use for things that need to be powered permanently. In the event that it did run flat, normal car function would be unaffected.

Oooh, maybe I have something similar then? I had an external battery installed for the dashcam, which charges when the car is in ready mode, and can completely discharge while parked, without affecting the 12v battery. Unfortunately I can't tell you much on how it's installed, as I got a professional to do it, all I know is it runs from the fuse box.

Dashcam install

Of course this is a dedicated battery for a dashcam so it might be completely useless info for you.
