My recently acquired 2024 HS PHEV Trophy is displaying an "eCall system failure" message when parked on my drive. However when driving around last night I did press the SOS button just to see what would happen and it did get through to a call centre. I suspect this is is just a cell phone coverage issue at my house. Am I correct?

While driving around I've noticed that I get this error quite a lot and I don't live in an area with bad phone coverage. Is it possible to disable it as it's getting quite annoying? The handbook states that I can get it disabled at a dealership but I have to say so in writing. This seems a bit OTT. Is there a way to disable it via the engineering menu?

I would not over ride this it may save you life one day
I realise the ramifications of disabling this, but this is the first car I've owned that has a SOS feature and the fact that it's constantly warning me that there's a problem when there isn't one is very annoying. Maybe there's a problem with the SIM (or whatever it uses) in my car. Is this a common issue?
