So, I assume like me, many on here have already ordered their Cybersters, I was just wondering what’s going to happen?
As of 4th July SAIC cars are subject to a whopping 38% tariff on import to EU countries. Now as a non EU country the UK isn’t currently applying this, but general consensus seems to be that whoever the new government is they may well choose to follow suit. So, my questions are….
Will it affect current orders already placed with dealers?
If so, how many of us would pay £85k for a Cyberster? I know I certainly wouldn’t be!
Will SAIC et al have to lower their prices considerably in the EU / UK to be priced competitively? If so, will it even be viable to sell there?
Just the thoughts and ponderings of someone who desperately wants to keep his Cyberster order but is seriously considering a Tesla M3 Performance that I could collect next day from Tesla Manchester before both are out of his price range!
