European tax on Chinese EV imports - what’s the likely impact?

What are people’s thoughts on the new European tax on Chinese EV imports, will this be copied in the UK and is it likely to lead to an insurance cost increase?

SAIC to get 38,1% duty in EU

Press release today saying that EU will penalize SAIC with 38,1% duty from 04. of july. Will this end MG in Europe?
