Yes I know the connection ports are waterproof but as winter is coming was looking at adding some protection against the rain and snows to come so got this, magnetic padded strips, universal fit for most EVs, (fits MG4 perfectly), got mine on Amazon for speed of delivery and return if not suitable. Does the job.

I've had mine for 18mths ever since the lock on the charging door froze and wouldn't close
