there are some threads on travelling around Europe, do a quick search; but, I wouldn't rely on anything much without doing my own detailed research as the situation could change daily - roadworks, chargers out of action ...
would love to do the same trip ?

We're doing France, Belgium, Germany & Austria next month. I have been busy researching and I am going to sign up to ionity passport and try to use ionity for the vast majority. With the passport Germany for example is €0.39 pkwh which is cheap for Germany rapid charging. It's a bit cheaper still in France.

The prices are higher in Germany than I thought they would be but there are plenty of chargers if you're not concerned about price.

Look at the ionity passport and look on the charge map and see if there are enough locations around your intended destinations.

But.. If you get an electroverse card you can use it at Ionity and loads of other ones in Europe, plus you get a discount? Just check the map.
I've worked out roughly how many kWh I will use based on average efficiency and miles I will be driving and then compared using the discounted Electroverse rates and signing up to Ionity passport power and I worked out even after paying the monthly fee for 1 month I will save between £50 and £80.

OP needs to do some research into what will best work for him. Do his accommodations have charging? Etc etc.

All in all though he shouldn't worry about doing a road trip in an EV the chargers are plentiful and mostly reliable in my experience.

Many thanks for the information, I may do the same as well regarding the Ionity. Any suggestions regarding the low emission stickers etc please?

Thanks

Get your German LEZ sticker from this link. Cost about €6 and came in the post quite quickly. If you're worried about time you can purchase once you're there.

Belgium there is was no sticker it was just done by registration but depends where you are visiting. I used the link below for Antwerp which including Bruges so I was covered. If you're visiting Brussels (and anywhere else with LEZ) you will need to register separately with them.

Luxembourg I'm not sure as not going there but Google it. Just beware some companies charge way more than the official ones so always try and seek out the official sites.

Thats my trip and beyond this month.

I have the Crit'air for Lille, the umwelt pass for Germany etc.

I shall use Electroverse, Tesla and will have backups with Chargemap, Fastned & EnelX, Shell & more.

I will add the trip to my blog

My 2024 trip is . . . .

France - Belgium - Luxembourg - Germany - Liechtenstein - Austria - Italy - Switzerland!

7 new EV countries for me to sample, new chargers & networks and the first post Tesla upgrade!

I've driven these routes (mostly) before, but have some exciting new drives to enjoy!

You can give ABRP (a better route planner) a try to plan your routes. If you sign up for the plus version of the app you can set filters for any charging cards you have or preferred suppliers and even set a preference for chargers with public toilets present.

€0,39 per kWh seems quite cheap actually. I used Shell recharge and was paying between €0,79 / €0,89 per kWh in Germany on fast chargers.
