First problem in my MG5 ( but nothing serious ) Plus 2 things I haven’t done in a while, plus there is a point to this tale
So this morning got in the car switched it on and on the screen once it had loaded up it said ( right hand side rear tyre pressure low please check ) so got back out and sure enough it was quite low took a look around the tyre and yeh a nail right in the middle of the thread so in the boot I go take out the spare wheel jack and tools but I had no intentions of putting the spare on, so put the back wheel from the 5 it in the wife’s Corsa to take it for repair so I got to tyre shop less than 2 miles from home got the tyre repaired and the fitter says that will be just £10 £10 said I my god the last puncture repair I had done was only about £3.50 when was that he said about 1995 I said so as you may see that’s the first thing I hadn’t done for a while LOL
so I get back in the the corsa and the red fuel lights on so I call in the garage and put in £30 worth of unleaded so that’s the second thing I did today what I’ve not done in a while and I’m now £40 down on the day.
So got home and I remembered some body on the forum was wondering about the wheel nuts so I tried the spare wheel just to make sure I had the right one the strange thing is the alloy wheel as standard as a deep counter stunk well/concave to take the standard wheel nuts that fine the MG spare spacer saver wheel a genuine MG part the holes for the nuts are con-vexed seems a bit strange to me but I fitted it with no problem just to make sure it did fit just in case as the old saying goes they come in threes anyhow cars all go as new now with its wheel repaired and replaced so who ever wanted to know about what the correct wheel nuts look like here are some pictures for you and don’t borrow a petrol car or if you do make sure it half full of fuel hate ice cars now no way I’ll ever go back to one that’s for certain up to now done around 1600 or so miles spent about 12/13 pounds on charging and to day £30 for a 3.1/2 mile journey not the best of days
