Flycatcher

I have been out for a lovely drive today, sunroof open enjoying the sun but I seem to be single-handedly straining all the flying insects from the air…. Any tips for cleaning out the flycatcher or do I need to get the vacuum out? By the way when I say flycatcher I mean the mesh deflector which rises when the sunroof is open.

I use a moderately stiff hand brush to clean the wind deflector.
