Front facing camera dislodged

Hi all,

My MG4 EV Trophy long range front facing camera seems to have dropped out of the hole, so it’s just looking at the inside of the housing. I’m not sure how to get into it or even how it happened! I’m assuming a bump or something. I’m worried that it may fall out of the bottom of the car.

Any ideas?

I shouldn't think it will go far as the lead its attached to won't be very long.

You will have to attack the problem from the rear.

It might be a bumper off job to fix it properly.

Any good at DIY?

If not, sadly a dealer job.

I would be very surprised if that's simply fallen out with no external interference at some point, but who knows.

I had a Skoda with parking sensors, kids used to purposefully push them in with their fingers, I was constantly fixing them back in their housing.
Might be worth just keeping an eye out.
