Can anyone advice if you can have the wing mirrors left open on the ZS EV TC , went to unlock car this morning and both were frozen , trying to open which I guess can’t be good for motor.
just thought I would ask the question can I leave them open in this freezing cold spell.

If I understand it correctly, I seem to think the issue is that where to fob is pushed to unlock the car, the motorised mirrors will not open / function correctly due to the very cold conditions.
The OP can hear the motors straining trying to push the mirrors out and is concerned it may be damaging the electric motors that drive the mirrors.
He was asking if the auto fold / unfold feature could be turned off and the mirrors left out ?.
Not sure on the MG but the auto fold feature could be turned off on my previous VAG model.
I had a quick check via the manual and I can find no guidance on this.
Maybe there is something in the head unit settings, that can temp disable this feature ?
Please correct me if my understanding is incorrect @Vipar .

Has anyone noticed that on the facelift model you cannot turn off the auto folding mirrors. There is a switch on the infotainment system under car/convenience, but this is stuck on off and the mirrors to retract when you lock the car?

I have found the function in the settings, but it will not let you turn off the auto fold / unfold facility ?.
It is grayed out, what is the point of that ??.

I have contacted MG technical direct to see if they can contact China to see if it can be added to software , otherwise they are going to get claims of burnt out motors.
Will they do it who knows !!

I don’t think that I have heated mirrors. I’ve not found a switch or a command on the screen. Happy to listen to wiser peeps.

TC LR 72 reg
When you turn on the heated rear windscreen ( manual toggle switch below the info unit ) it clears the back screen and the door mirrors.

i don't understand why it has a command slide button in the settings in the head unit, but it is not active ???.
Has it just been missed ???????.

Maybe or maybe it's just MG's terrible UI design.
