I have a new MG EHS Plug-in Hybrid from 2024, and I am experiencing some rather uneven performance from the gasoline engine. Along with the other observations that you guys have been telling about, I am so experiencing some rather uneven performance from the gasoline engine. Especially when it is cold it is kind of hacking and coughing when it is in use. One is that I could expect some kind of mechanical effect when it changes from electricity to gasoline, but not as bad as my car is behaving. I have been told several times, that this is just the way a hybrid is working but for me it seems like there could be something not quite right with the fuel injection or the fuel line. Has anybody else had similar experiences?

Best regards

Henrik

When cold in cold weather the few minutes it is a bit sputtering but picks up quickly, you may find also that changing from EV to ICE that the engine will over rev which is more changing from the EV grearbox to the ICE box. One tip when you are doing the change just take you foot of the gas, but if the car is doing you will over rev.
Buy a electric and you will have this.

you can notice, if you really pay attention, a bit of roughness when the ICE starts for the very first time, and it is cold. Just the very first time and you really need to pay attention to it. So, if you feel it regularly or with too much relevance, there can be some problem in your ICE.
