Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has any good recommendations for Tyres for the 2020 MG ZS EV.
I will be soon buying the third set of replacements for the front since ownership and about 12,000 miles and would rather buy a set that will last as am fed up of how fast most are wearing.

I would be looking for all weather tyres.

I have seen EV specific tyres and wondered if they are worth it as well.

Everyone will have different preferences. You can go for Michelin Pilot Sport EV Acoustic at about £250 each or you can buy 4 tyres for £200 ... For the past 10 years, I kept buying cheaper tyres and never had any complaints ... When time comes, I'm already looking at about £100 for 2

How well and how long they serve you, mostly depends on your driving style and maintained tyre pressure. My advice - save money and buy the cheapest with the B - B rating on the label.

Just realised - you said for the front ! You can just swap (and they recommend it) front and rear wheels. If fronts are already gone, don't waste money on rear if they are fine.no need to buy 4.

This was posted for MG4, but is relevent to any vehicle. :)

I saw this thread but is for the MG4 not the MG ZS EV.

All season I think are the way to go. The Michelin cross cimate 2 or Continental all season contact 2 are the best and are fully winter (snow) and summer tyres. I changed mine to the continentals, they have really improved handling with no efficiency consequenses.

Goodyear
EfficientGrip Performance 2
215/55R17 G/YEAR Efficient Grip PERF2+94W
SUMMER
Rated A Fuel Efficiency
A Wet Grip
A 67 dB noise
Approx 3 weeks ago I had 2 of the above tyres fitted to front on 2020 ZS EV .
So far , grip seems fine in heavy and light rain. Road noise level seems to be very low. Hopefully mileage will be good too.
They were £138 each fitted
Purchased through Asda tyres
Hope you find some decent tyres to suit your budget

I'm still on the original tyres at 12k miles and have just had it serviced - 6.5mm on the rear two and 5mm on the front two. So I'm expecting 20k even out of the fronts which would be excellent on a FWD EV.

The culprits - Michelin Primacy 3 ST.

And to add to that they're £94 fitted at Halfords, very good price for a premium tyre.
What size? I looked up hoping to get them but all I get for 215/55/17 tyres is almost £200 fitted for what might be slightly different model tyre (the exact model in my size is £134 not fitted elsewhere ...)

My apologies, I thought the filter had applied my car to the tyres I was looking at but it appears it didn't. Cheapest I can see any Michelin tyre for is £159 but if it's going to last double then it's still decent plus you've got the advantage of the better grip you'll get over budget tyres.
