Google Maps - Add Stop not very responsive

Hi all,

I searched on the forums and couldn't find too much on this.

Has anyone else noticed that for MG 4 (EV Trophy Long Range) that the Add Stop function in Car Play on Google Maps is not very responsive when trying to navigate through one of the five suggested options? I really have to forcefully tap on them and the arrows to move on. Didn't notice that on my previous car.,,

I find that the screen can sometimes have this issue even outside of Google Maps, although since I have put a screen protector on, as all the finger prints where annoying me, it seems okay.

Same problem here with finger prints so I stopped picking my nose whilst driving and success was instant

I just found one through a google search, not specifically designed for the MG4 but it fits fairly nicely.

You can get both clear and matt screen protectors for the infotainment screen and driver's screen from here. I have the matt ones fitted to mine and they do help to disguise fingerprints and cut down on the reflections.

I fitted mine about 15 months ago and they are still as good as new

I only have it on the info screen and it does help somewhat in terms of correct responses. But I still sometimes need to tap the go icon three times to start the navi...

So just an update I fitted the screen protector and no luck. I really have to push down on the arrows for the 5 different stops on google maps. Any suggestions?

I have been using these, work flawlessly, although the software can still be a bit slow.
They are available from numerous sellers and are a cheap fix.

Also have the matte screen protector fitted.

Had them for another purpose. So I tried. They work if the tip is small enough. Putting this pen somewhere is one thing, finding it without having my head turned into storage areas is another. Even if that works, never allow your wife to sit next to you 'if she needs a pencil'.....

One of the buttons that does not work properly is the close button for the Airco system. I better spend some hours learning the commands so miss MG can do things for me.

I've found that sometimes, licking the end of your finger helps. Oh, that and then using the same finger to touch the screen
