I'm still using the granny charger for charging my ZSEV at the moment until I get the armoured cable laid, so I'm making a "granny charger" board to go on the wall of the garage to keep it off the floor & out of harms way.

Oh! Senior moment yesterday  wondering why I couldn't plug the charging cable into the car, The protective rubber bung was still on :D

I suspected that was the route you was taking !.

Yeah I'm bypassing the OLEV grant because it will work out too expensive & too much upheaval even with the £350 grant, I've had our electricity system albeit old tested by the DNO and was given a clean bill of health and a certificate to say it's well within specs, I'm unable to supply the OLEV people pictures of metal pipework grounding clamps because they're under the floorboards which I'm not about to take up in two rooms nor all the carpeting.
They are not within 60 cm of the stopcock (water) or within 60 cm of the (gas) meter which are situated on the opposite side of the house & would involve multi rooms floorboards/carpets lifting for a earth wire channel to the fuse box area.

If you take the plastic case off the charger there are some slots to wall mount the charger behind it, as what I did
