Granny Charger

I know this must of been covered before but I can’t seem to find anything, is the “little black box” on the granny charger water proof? I have the plug in a water proof extension lead but not sure about the other part. Thanks

I believe it has a IP65 rating. At the moment I put mine under the car with the plug attached to a waterproof extension lead in a waterproof box.

So does that mean it’s not waterproof?

It means you can use it under water to a depth of 1 metre!
Having said that, it recommends use in the dry only.

So does that mean it’s not waterproof?

No it’s just me being extra careful?. I have used the granny charger when it was raining without any problems.
