Charging opposite me today a 'Zero' motorcycle. First time I have seen one.

I think electric bikes are slowly increasing in popularity. I certainly like the idea of one, although the 'sporty' Zero ones a expensive (Engergica more so). That said, I like the Zero FXS, even though the range isn't great, but it looks mental to ride, especially with all the power available at zero RPM!

Yeah, that's the subset of bikers known as to$$ers. We have one or two near where I live. I've never been into loud pipes, but have had a couple of bikes with aftermarket pipes that allow a lovely low down grumble without being offensive. Even having a bike with an open pipe, I tended to ride it respectfully to not pi$$ everyone off. Some riders seem to go out of their way to annoy others with loud pipes. Still, with the onset of noise detectors, this will diminish on all types of vehicles.
