Help guys I am stuck.
After faultless motoring since oct 2020 I am having my first major problem.
My car charger fine with my wallbox over the weekend. Plugged it in last night and found this morning that it had not charged. Same thing tonight. It starts to charge there are clicks the mg logo pulsates then about 30secs or so later it stops charging. After about another 30’secs it starts charging again and then stops. The whole process keeps repeating. Same problem with my dumb rolec charger and also the granny charger. Uplifted the -ve terminal on the battery for 10mins but the same problem recurred.
I am a bit stuck as to what is happening. Any help please

As you have tried 3 different charging methods it does point to something in the car. N2STY’s suggestion is a good one. The pins in the car connector could need cleaning. Not sure if you have any switch cleaning spray?

Even some cotton buds and wd40 or similar could help

Worst case scenario is that the on-board inverter has developed a fault. This would account for the 30 second cycling of trying, detecting a fault condition and stopping. Hope I'm wrong.

Can you try plugging into your neighbour’s house ?.
This would rule out a any problem with your house electrics.
That's a good idea.
A few minutes with the Granny adapter will tell you all you need to know.

You Sir’s are gentlemen and scholars. It turned out to be the blessed powerline extenders that were messing everything up.
Now that they have been disconnected, the car has fully charged without a hitch.
I owe you all a debt of gratitude.
