Hi everyone - I wonder if anyone knows the way out of this problem? I had an email today from octopus (I'm on Intelligent octopus go) saying they had lost connection with my device (a Zappi) and to reconnect using the app. When I went to the app, it seemed to say I was still connected so I did nothing - it didn't give me the option to reconnect as I wasn't disconnected. Only tonight, I went to charge and it said it wasn't plugged in. Having double checked everything with it still saying I hadn't plugged in I decided the best thing to do was to disconnect and reconnect.

Only - it won't now reconnect. I identify the car on the app , then the charger, then put in the correct email and password and it says it can't connect and to check that my device is fully set up on the provider's app (it is); the device is connected to the internet - it appears to be as far as I can tell - the wifi is showing the blue light and the Zappi seems fine l; and my username and password are correct (they are). When I first joined IOG they didn't link directly to the MG and I connected using the Zappi only. I tried this again, but it then asks me for car details and when I type it in says that it is geared up now for the MG and I'm to log in using the car .

I've tried the helplines for both Octopus and Zappi but they are closed for the weekend. Does anyone have any ideas how I can sort this out?

If this happened to me (which it hasn't) I'd be inclined to try to re-boot the Zappi. But I'm just guessing here, hopefully someone else will have a more informed opinion.

Don't you have any way to start charging manually without the app, I don't have a Zappi, but I can start charging with a RFID key, alternatively I can start charging with the MG ismart app, or even from the car's charging screen.

Thanks - just tried rebooting but it then did just the same when I tried to connect up . Arrgh

yes - I can at least put some power in it , thank goodness !

Can't exactly be sure which app you are referencing. I have a Zappi and only use the Zappi app for charging the car. I just plug the car in and use the Fast charge option if I need instant charging, or set a schedule in the Zappi app if I want to charge at the time for the best price. I'm on Octopus, but not the Intelligent option, so you might not get the best rate but at least you can get some charge in the car until you can sort out the comms issues.

exactly - it was the octopus app that seems to be the problem but as you say, I'm reassured that I can get some power in and give them a ring on Monday
