When using a public charge point with a phone app, make sure you activate the one you are at and not another charger 100mtr away in another charge station

Driving from South Yorkshire to Northumberland and stopped at a public EV charging station but the app map confused it with the one in a petrol station forcourt.

Stood waiting for point number 2 to start dispensing, waiting, waiting, waiting. The app even suggested shutting it down and trying again.

Big difference between Osprey and Ifinity .

I'm still on a learning curve

I chose the one I did because it was 10p per kW cheaper, it's just aswell the app was looking after me.

Ha ha... I had that with the Gridserves at Woolley Edge... couldn't find the charger number on the app until I noticed I was on the Northside and the app on the southside....

Found these (2 units) today on my way for a walk and visit to the very fine cafe for an early dinner of meatballs and rice - excellent !

Not sure, looked on Charge Place Scotland’s pages and they’re not even listed. Unless they’re just horsing around ?

I didn’t need to charge as the car is half full and I’m about to swap my Rolec charger for an Ohme pro smart unit after which OVO say I’ll get 2000 miles free and then 7p/ kW anytime charging.

The CPS units at Falkirk Stadium are 48p/kWh so these will probably be similar for up to 22kW per hour charging

Nice. I've only ever seen the Kelpies from the motorway. I remember them being constructed.
