How do you actually remove the 12 battery?
I have dead 12v battery on my MG5.
I thought it would be a simple job to take it out and charge it but it seems to be held in by some framework that needs disassembly first.
Am I missing anything obvious?
Going to France tomorrow so in a bit of a panic!

With most cars there is a clamp that holds a lip at the base of the battery. You generally need a socket wrench with an extension bar to loosen the nut.

You should join the Tesla groups, they are full of charming helpful people like you.
FYI my vehicle has just been purchased and didn't come with any manuals.
Well thank you for your gracious comments, I can be charming and am generally helpful as evidenced over nearly 4 years on this forum. I have no desire to join the Tesla forums though, I find the car's interiors too minimalistic for me although I do admire the technology and efficiency of Teslas. :)

Hopefully the following may help you get some basic answers quicker in future. This is an incredible forum for anything to do with MG EVs and specific problems and experiences you have as well as general chat around EVs and electric stuff in general, see the General Chat forum if you haven't already.

So welcome to the forum.
